In September 1948 a group of men joined together and became part of a worldwide organization, the Lions Clubs International. We adopted the Lions International Motto "WE SERVE" and made it a way of life for our club. The Cayucos Lions serve our community, our country, and even extend our efforts to the entire world by helping the Lions International in its fight to eradicate preventable blindness. Our main efforts have been focused on the community level to make our city a strong viable part of our nation. We do this by sponsoring a history day, flag day, scholarships for our students and our Even though our town is one of the smallest in our county our club numbers over 100

The members of our club are your neighbors and friends. They are firefighters, teachers, tradesmen, businessmen, veterans and retirees from every vocation. Together, we have the privilege of being able to serve one of the most unique and special communities in the world.
